Finally
Nokia launch its much anticipated Android phone called Nokia X held at 2014
Mobile World Conference in Barcelona.
The
Nokia X is packed with Android and design cues from Nokia’s Lumia’s Windows
smartphones. It’s like having two interface platforms both from Android and Windows
in one smartphone. At the center of the new UI is a swipe-based notifications and
multitasker called Fastlane that allows fast access to the people, apps and information
that are most important to you. Fastlane is a
smoother and faster way to switch between your favorite apps, games and latest
social activities.
Built-in apps include Plants vs. Zombies 2, Viber, Asphalt 8, Jetpack Joyride, Fruit Ninja, BBM and many more popular apps from Nokia Store or a range of third party stores. Nokia X also gives you access to exclusive Nokia apps like MixRadio and HERE Maps, and Microsoft services including Skype, OneDrive and Outlook.com.
Nokia
X is the mid-range model smartphone from its low-end Asha and high-end Lumia
line. It has 3 variants of phone: Nokia X, X+ and XL. Their price ranges from
Php 5000 to Php 7000 respectively.
Nokia
X is already available in the market while X+ and XL will be available in the
second quarter of 2014.
Unfortunately
users of this model can’t download apps from the Google Play which is ironic from
an Android Smartphone. Users need to use their specialized apps developed for
the Nokia X Software platform. Nokia says you can get apps from the Nokia
Store, 3rd party app stores or via a technique called side-loading.

Nokia
X family is good while their price is affordable; I’m just worried with their
low megapixel focus of cam wherein users preferred more in scouting for their Smartphone.
Also the internal memory is too low for todays fast pace technology. But I
admit I love the overall design and candy eye catching colors which can be
mistaken as Lumia line.
